How we get paid

Some buyers pay Dataconto a referral fee when an owner we sent them closes a deal. Owners pay us nothing, and the fee plays no part in fit check results.

The fee comes from the buyer

We may earn a fee when you close a deal with a buyer you reached through us, by an introduction or a link on this site. The buyer pays it, and you pay us nothing.

We don't set a buyer's terms and we aren't part of your agreement with it. What a buyer offers you is in its own pages and contract.

We have referral terms with four buyers

  • micro1: signed referral terms.
  • Pangea: signed referral terms.
  • Mode: signed referral terms.
  • Scale AI: Scale has a referral form for each company and no partner program to join. We fill it in when you ask us to.
  • Maryah: signed referral terms.

We name a buyer on the site only after we have read its terms and joined, or confirmed there is nothing to join.

The fee doesn't affect your results

The fit check compares your answers with what each buyer says it takes. The fee plays no part in that, and a buyer that pays us nothing is checked the same way as one that does. When two buyers fit equally well, they appear in a fixed order.

What we do with your details

We pass your details to a buyer only after you tick the box asking us to. The buyer gets your name, email, company name, notes and fit check answers, and then deals with you directly. The privacy policy lists what we store and for how long.
